KBS 2TV 수목 드라마 ‘7일의 왕비’가 방영된 후 OST가 연일 화재가 되고 있다.

드라마 방영 후 사극에 외국곡이라는 파격적인 행보로 드라마 시청자들이 놀라움을 감추지 못하고 있다. 그 간 사극에서는 쉽게 들을 수 없었던 외국곡이라는 설정은 극을 새로운 시각으로 볼 수 있는 계기가 되어 많은 호응을 얻고 있다.

OST와 더불어 아티스트에 관한 문의도 끊이지 않고 있는 가운데 두 번째 OST ‘No matter how hard I try’은 세계적인 싱어송라이터 ‘야엘메이어’가 직접 자작곡 및 가창을 하였다고 전해져 많은 이들의 감탄을 자아내고 있다. 

편안한 감성의 어쿠스틱 멜로디와 속삭이듯 아름다운 목소리로 우리에게 따뜻하고 행복한 음악을 들려주고 있는 ‘야엘메이어‘는 칠레 출신으로 8세에 처음 작곡을 시작하며 음악에 대한 재능을 보여 버클리 음대 장학생으로 미국에서 공부하였으며 자신의 모든 곡을 작사, 작곡, 프로듀싱 및 엔지니어링까지 도맡아 하는 천재 뮤지션으로 알려져 있다. 

여자 ‘제이슨 므라즈’라는 별명을 가지고 있는 그녀답게 로맨틱한 분위기의 부드러운 보컬로 사랑스러운 두 주인공의 모습을 ‘야엘메이어’만의 특별한 감성으로 ‘No matter how hard I try’의 곡 안에 잘 그려내 [7의 왕비]시청자들에게 감동을 선사하였다. 

많은 시청자들이 음원 공개를 기다리고 있어 ost 제작사인 HELLO EMC측에서는 발매일을 예정보다 빠르게 앞당겨 6월 7일에 음원을 공개하기로 했다.
